New courts ready for play

Time to put the lawn back into NGLTC. The evening of Tuesday 10 May saw our first outing on the new grass courts. Our thanks to the Parks team who done a very good job. The courts are playing well, with a nice low bounce. Even more important to bend those knees….

The court entry system is now the same as the hard courts. If you are playing outside club sessions or team practices or matches, you can use your member’s discount to reduce the price from £6 to only £2 per hour. When entering the code the trick is to tap the buttons rather than press—otherwise you will just get a lot of bleeps.

For the grassed area beyond, now open for public access, there is wire fencing down the side. The plan is to plant a hedge here later in the year.
